Landfill & Tree Dump

What Can I put In the Tree Dump?

Grass clippings  Tree/shrub branches, stumps etc. - Fall/Spring leaves/garden clean up

Please contact the office to pick up the key as the gate is locked. 

Household garbage, furniture, and appliances are prohibited.

St. Michael Landfill

 

Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Closed all statutory holidays

All haulers must unload and exit the facility prior to 4:30 PM.

The facility is closed Sundays, Mondays and all statutory holidays

All loads must be secured and tarped.

When calling 9-1-1 from your mobile phone, provide the operator with the exact location of the incident, i.e. municipal address, county address (twp/range) or, in the event of a highway vehicle incident, as close an estimate that you can provide.

The FCSS role in the community is to provide preventative social service programs that promote and facilitate the development of healthy families and individuals.

The Village of Andrew is now affiliated with Lamont County FCSS.

Municipal Public Library
Recycling Program

Andrew Municipal Public Library has joined with Northern Lights Library System (NLLS).  

Why should I join?

  • Inspire a love of life-long learning

  • Support literacy,

  • Advance knowledge, encourage imaginative recreation

  • Strengthen our community

  • Access to a huge volume of books, ebooks, magazines, DVD's and numerous online resources

 

Members of the public have access to three designated Public Library computers. There is no charge to access the computers.

Hours

Monday 1 -  5 p.m. and Wednesday 2 – 7 p.m.

The library is following all AHS protocols for COVID – 19 including mandatory mask wearing while in the library.

The Andrew blue bag recycle program.

Residents are reminded to have your items on the front curb by 7:00 am every Tuesday.

 

What CAN I recycle?

  • Newsprint and heavy paper inside one blue bag.

  • Plastic and tin cans in another blue bag.

  • Collapsed and bundled corrugated cardboard (secured under the blue bag(s)/

 

Why BLUE BAGS Only? 

Blue Bags are made from a recyclable material whereas some types of other bags are not. In addition, the blue color is a visual flag for drivers, letting them know you have recyclables for pickup.

What should NOT go in blue bags?

• Plastic toys
• Bubble wrap / Plastic film
• Styrofoam
• Un-rinsed food containers
• Diapers

• Electronics or small appliances etc.

Where Can I Buy Blue Bags?

Blue Bags can be purchased at Walmart, Cosco, CanadianTire etc.
